Our network partner institutions who agreed to collaborate with our Spectroscopy Laboratory and with whom we plan to realize: training of researchers, expert visits, lecturing at workshops/conference have been carefully chosen among leading institution in (1) the EU countries and (2) Western Balkan Countries:
EU countries
- Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Laboratoire de Dynamique, Interactions et Réactivité, CNRS- LADIR, Paris, France: Collaboration started recently and is intensified by the visit and training of our PhD student in LADIR laboratories on the application of non-destructive micro-Raman spectroscopy on the studies of common field of interest - Byzantine ceramics.
Contact person: Philippe Colomban, PhD;
- Department for Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Ghent University, Belgium: Collaboration has been established via COST G8 action: Non-destructive analysis and testing of museum objects. Two visits by our senior researchers and one young researcher have been realised in the last year in the field of common interest for studies of pigments in Byzantine frescoes and icons.
Contact person: Prof. Peter Vandenabeele;
- Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece: Collaboration has been established through European Chemistry Thematic Network Association and/or mutual interests in the study of pigments in Byzantine art works.
Contact person: Prof. Evangelia Varella;
- Faculty of Chemistry, University of Sofia, Bulgaria: Collaboration has started via mutual interest in the study of Byzantine ceramics.
Contact person: Prof. Ivelin Kuleff.
WB countries
- Department of Instrumental Analytical Methods, Institute for Nuclear Physics, Tirana, Albania: Collaboration started recently within joint research on pigments in frescoes in Byzantine churches.
